Scene 1

Scene 1: Robina meets nabiha in a restaurant in the daytime. 

​

Action: Nabiha sitting on the table with food and reading her file. Robina enters the restaurant, recognises nabiha, gets shocked to see her old friend, and starts approaching her at her table. 

​

Camera Instructions: The scene will open up zooming on nabiha flipping file pages and drinking water. 

Next shot: Door open. Cameras zoom in on Robina's bag and move up to her face.
The camera zooms out a bit as she walks in. 

Cut to, nabiha sitting

Cut to, Robina’s face. She recognises Nabiha and approaches her at her table while the camera follows her.

Robina (gets surprise) : Nabiha. Tum yahan? Kesi ho kafi arsa ho gaya, hum mile nahi?

Cut to Nabiha

Nabiha (recognizes her friend): Hi, main theek tum sunao. Yr bus ajkal aik case mila hua hai usi main phasi hui hon.

The camera pans out a bit, showing both the characters 

Robina (sits with Nabiha at her table): oh khair, kesa case?

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: Tumhe yad hai eman, wo jisko uskay shohar ke qatal ka ilzam main umar qaid di gayi thi, mujhe nai lagta kay wo asli criminal hai.

Cut to Robina 

Robina: tumhe asay kyun lag raha. Wasn’t it a clean-cut conviction?

Cut to Nabiha

Nabiha: yr main in-depth study ki hai case ki aur mujhe us main witnesses kafi ajeeb lage. Meri gut feeling hai kay eman has been wrongly accused.

Cut to Robina 

Robina: WAQAI?

Cut to Nabiha

Nabiha: Seriously, is case main sab logon say milne kay baad aik cheez tu samne ayi kay sab witnesses jo statements mujhe day rahi hai wo court main suni gayi claims say bhot alag hai. 

Cut to Robina 

Robina: Yah tu bhot hairani ki baat hai. Waise meri baat suno, kiya main eman ka interview karon?

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: us say kiya ho jaye ga?

Cut to Robina 

Robina: bhai, media broadcasting bhi kisi cheez ka name hai. Humein eman ka sach batane kay liye usko limelight main lana parega.

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: han, yah fit idea hai. Phir kab karein?

Cut to Robina 

Robina: Don't worry main souch rahi hon kal time nikal kar us say mil leti hun.

Scene 2

Scene 2: Robina meets Eman in a prison in a dimly lit room in the daytime. 

​

Action: Robina and Eman sitting in a dark room sitting across from each other a table. 

​

Camera Instructions: The scene will open up showing the jail from the outside.

Cut to the next shot both characters sitting next to each other on a table in a dimly lit room. 

Cut to the camera zooming on Eman's hand's camera slowly moving up to Eman’s face. 

Cut to the camera zooming on Robina's facial expression.

Dialogues:

​

Robina (a bit nervous putting a camcorder on the table) : hi, thankyou for meeting me. Btw kesi hain app?

Next shot, the camera focuses on eman

Cut to Eman 

Eman (frustrated expressions) : mujhe 15 saal guzar gaye is jail main, wo bhi us jurm kay liye jo maine kiya bhi nahi, kiya lagta hai apko main kesa feel kar rhai hon gi? 

The camera pans out a bit, showing both the characters  

Robina (trying to calm her down) : main apkay lawyer say is case kay bare main baat ki hai, aur main ajj app say milne isi liye ayi hon.

Cut to Eman

Eman ( in questioning tone) : mere uper tu abhi tak koi yaqeen nai kar paya, aur waise bhi kiya gaurenttee hain kay app meri baat ko sach mainen gi?

Cut to Robina 

Robina (in a convincing tone) : main hamaesha sach par yaqeen karti hun. App mujhe sirf sach bataein. Is baar sach sune wale apkay sath kahre hain.

Cut to Eman 

Eman (in an emotional tone ) : Hamari shaddi do saal pore hone wale thay jab zain ka qatal hua. Wo chand dinon say kafi tension main thay aur unki is parishani ka raaz wo banda tha, jis nai mere shohar ki maut ko aik sucide ka nam day diya. Aik sucide note likhna uskay kay liye kafi asan tha aur us say asan cheez mere par alzam lagana, kyun i am the easy target. Is barbadi ko anjam denay kay liye us qatil nai aik false witness bhi court main paish kar diya and the rest is you know.

Cut to Robina 

Robina: apko kiya lagta hai abb ki bar kuch badla hai? Kiya witness apna sach samne lana chahti hai?

Cut to Eman 

Eman: itne salon main wohi mere pass hazar baar apne jhoot ka azala karne ayi hai. Mujhe yaqeen hai ko wo is bar court ko sara sach batane main peeche nai hatay gi. Abb sirf court main paishi rehti hai.

 
Cut to Robina 

Robina: Don't worry, court hamari appeal rad nai kare gi. 

 
Scene Ending: The camera pans out ending on Robina’s face after she delivers her dialogue.

Scene 3

Scene 3: Robina gets appreciation from her boss in the office during the daytime. 

​

Action: Robina sitting working at her office table, her boss knocks on her table and starts talking about the viral interview she did. 

​

Camera Instructions: The scene will open up showing the office from outside.

Cut to the next shot of Robina working on her office table. 

Cut to the camera zooming on the boss's hands knocking on the table, the camera moves up to his face. 

​

Dialogues: 

​

Director of the news channel : you did a wonderful job. Jo live interview app nai conduct kiya tha, its been getting immense attention everywhere.  Sare channels, pora social media eman ko insaaf dilana chahta hai. 

Cut to Robina standing in shock 

Robina: thankyou for the appreciation sir. Abb sirf court kay uper hai kay wo case re-open kar day and thats it! 

Cut to Boss  

Director of the news channel: don’t worry, this time Eman will get justice.

Scene Ending: The camera ends on Robina’s happy face. 

Scene 4

Scene 4: Nabiha meets Eman in a prison in a dimly lit room in the daytime. 

​

Action: Nabiha and Eman sitting in a dark room sitting across from each other a table. 

Camera Instructions: The scene will open up showing the jail from the outside.

Cut to the next shot both characters sitting next to each other on a table in a dimly lit room. 

Cut to the camera zooming on nabiha facial expression while delivering her dialogue.

Cut to the camera zooming on Eman's face with a shocking expression when she learns that her case is reopening.

Nabiha: salam, kesa chal raha hai sab?

Cut to Eman 

Eman: abhi tak tu waisa hi chal raha hai mam. 

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: well, jail say bahir tu sab bilkul bhi purane jesa nahi rha. App nai jo haal main hi interview diya tha, us par logon nai kafi awaz uthai hai. Itne social pressure aur hangamon kay baad court nai hamari appeal sun li hai. 

Cut to Eman

Eman (shocked) : kiya sach main!? 

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: ji bilkul. (pause) Abb agli baar hamari mualaqat court main hon gi! 

​

Scene Ending: The camera ends on camera showing both characters. Nabiha puts her hand on Eman’s hand with a convincing smile. 

Scene 5

Scene 5: Eman case hearing in the court in the daytime. 

​

Action: The case trial will be heard focusing on the lawyer supporting her client’s innocence and how she has been wrongly detained in prison due to false evidence.

 

Camera Instructions: The scene will open up showing the court from outside.

Cut to the next shot camera zooms on the judge's ballet while delivering his dialogue.

Dialogues:

​

Judge : order order order. Today the court will foresee the appeal of the accused eman. Order in the court. You may proceed. 

Cut to Nabiha and camera follows her as she delivers her dialogue

 
Nabiha: Thank You, your honour for granting us this opportunity. Ajj main court mein yah baat sabit karon gi kay kesay eman par laagaye jane wale sare ilzam fabricated thay. Eman ko in actions par blame kiya gaya jo us nai commit kiye hi nahi. Today, your honour, we will witness what actually happened on 25 sep 2007. With your permission, main eman ko kathare main bulana chahon gi. 
Cut to Judge

The judge nods: yes, please. 

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: app court ko bataye kay app aur apkay shohar, zain ka marital status kesa tha? 

Cut to Eman walking up to the stand, the camera follows her. Next shot, camera focuses on Eman’s face 

Eman (in an emotional tone) : Hamari arranged marriage thi aur hum apni shadi say kafi khush thay. 

Flashback: In between shot , flashback of eman and zain being happy. 

Koi bhi masla ho zain aur main koi na koi hal nikal hi liatay thay. Suicide say chand din pehle, wo kafi pareshan rehne lagethay aur akhiri dinon main unhon nai mujhe milay jane wale threats kay bare main bataya tha. 

Flashback: In between shot , flashback of eman and zain sitting together. Zain is worried.  eman asks him what's wrong but he gets up and leaves. 

Maine un say baat karne ki kooshish ki likin unhon nai hamaesha meri baat rad kardi. Maine khud bhi pata lagana chaha lekin main nakam rahi. 

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: tu app court ko yah batana chhati hai kay is case main aik namaloon qatil mulawis tha jis nay yah pora plot plan kiya? Likin un proves ka kiya jo court main paish kiye gain thay, wo suicide note? 

Cut to Eman

Eman (in defensive tone) : wo sab jhoot tha. Main apne shohar ko kabhi nuqsan pouchane ka souch bhi nahi skahti.

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: app kay khilaf court main aik ghawa bhi paish kiya gaya tha, uskay bare main kuch bata chahe gi app? 

Cut to Eman 

Eman: app log apne records main check kar skahte hain, maine jail main jitna bhi waqt guzara hai hafsa mujh say bhot bar milne atti thi. Unhon nai khud apne jhoot ka ateraf mere samne kai baar kiya hai. 

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: You may return. Now your honour main miss hafsa ko kathare main bulana chahon gi. 

Cut to Judge 

Judge: Yes, you may proceed.

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: So miss hafsa, kiya app court ko bataen gi kay apka zain kay sath kiya taluq tha?

Cut to Hafsa walking up to the stand, the camera follows her. Next shot, the camera focuses on Hafsa’s face 

Hafsa: main aur zain office colleagues thay.

Cut to Nabiha

Nabiha: tu asa kiya hua kay app nai apne hi colleague kay khilaf jhooti gawahi day di? 

Cut to Hafsa

Hafsa: Is waqaye say kuch hafte pehle zain nai mere sath asfar, haamre aik aur office colleague ka, zikr kiya tha. He told me kay usko asfar ka rawiya kuch dinon say kafi ajeeb lag raha tha.

 

Isi kay sath sath zain bhi kafi pareshan rahne lag gaya tha aur akhiri hafte us nai mujhe milne wale threats kay bare main bataya tha jo zain ki job aur reputation ko khatre main dalne say linked thay.

 

Hum dono ko yah office main say hi kisi employee ka kam lag raha tha likin work load ki wajah say hum is par itni attention nahi day paye. Main us raat weekend apni family kay sath guzar rahi thi jab mujhe achanak say pata chala kay zain nai suicide karli hai. 

Flashback: In between shot , flashback of zain dead face.

Maine yah baat sun kar agle din foran office pounchne kay liye tayar ki kay achanak say mujhe aik unknown number say call ayi. Us anonymous shaks ko mere ghar walon ki sari details pata thi aur isi kamzori ka faida uthatay huaye us nai mujhe jhooti gawhi denay par razi kiya.(starts crying)  Mainne us waqt apni jan bachane kay liye aik qatil ki maded tu karli likin maine sath hi aik aur zindagi bhi barbad karli. I am so sorry eman. I am so sorry.  

Cut to Nabiha. The camera pans out a bit. 

Nabiha: You may return now.Your esteemed judge, as you have heard from this testimony that the accused had no part to play in this suicide. Or even if we can call this a suicide. Eman aik sensitive position main thi aur kisi na uski statements par attention di aur na hi sahi say case ki tahqeeq ki. Main court say request karti hun kay is case ko responsibility re-examine kiya jaye aur accused ko ba-izat bari kia jaye. 

Cut to Judge 

Judge: the verdict will be announced after a short break. (break) 

The camera Fades into a black scene. The next shot shows the court outside.
 

Cut to the judge announcing the verdict. 

Verdict: After careful consideration of the testimonies and new evidence presented, the court rules the accused Eman, not guilty and acquit her of all charges. Aur is pending case ki tah tak jane ka hukm jari karti hai. The court is adjourned.

Scene Ending: The camera focuses on the judge’s ballet as it is hit. 

Scene 6

Scene 6: Eman and nabiha outside the courtroom during the daytime. 

​

Action: nabiha and Eman walk and discuss the success of the trial. 

​

Camera Instructions: The scene will open up showing Eman and nabiha hugging each other. 

Cut to the next shot camera zooming on Eman’s face. 

​

Dialogues:

​

Eman: main ne yah sab kabhi soucha nai tha. Yah sab apki budalat hua hai warna main tu yah jung kab ki har chuki thi. 

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: shukriya eman. Main tumhare liye bhot khush hun kay tum itne sab kay baad bhi hamare sath khari rahi. Allah nai tumhe aik aur mauqa diya hai. abbb naye sare say apni life shuru karne ki kooshish karo.

Cut to Eman 

Eman (slightly concerned): bilkul. Likin abhi tu mera koi thekana hai bhi kay bhi mujhe nahi maloon. 15 saal guzar gaye pata nahi mera ghar abb wahan ho ga kay nahi.

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: tu tension ki kiya baat hai, tum mere cabin main wait karo, main tumhare sath chalon gi. Itni asani say chutkara nai milne wala. 

Scene Ending: Cut to Eman smiling at nabiha and walking away towards the cabin.

Scene 7

Scene 7: nabiha is interviewed outside the court by a journalist during the daytime. 

​

Action: Nabiha and the journalist discuss the success of the trial. 

​

Camera Instructions: The scene will open up showing nabiha coming out of the court and being caught by a journalist with a mic and a cameraman. 

​

Dialogues:

Cut to Journalist 

Journalist : aur ji nazreen, ajj main court kay bahir majood hun aur main batati chalon kay ajj aik hi important case ka fasla apne ekhtaytam par pounchna hai. Ajj court nai eman ko jail say bari karne ka fasla suna dia hai.

 

Ji nazreen, court nai ajj haq ka sath diya hai. Main is case ki sab say important personality ya aur lafzon main the revolutioner miss nabiha ki janib app logon say unka taraoof karwana chhati hun.  Nabiha, I am so happy to see you.

Cut to Journalist 

Journalist : hum jana chhate hain kay app ko achanak say is case ko re-open ki thought kesay ayi, like what was the process behind such a big step?

Cut to Nabiha 

Nabiha: main honestly batao tu it was a coincidence. Maine is trail say 2 mahine pehle is case ko study kiya tha, aur is case main loop holes itne thay that i got stuck. Khair phir you know robina the journalist, she is such a good friend of mine i met her and after a great discussion she suggested that she should take an interview. And again all thanks to social media as it was the game changer when eman got the limelight she derserve. 

Cut to Journalist 
Journalist : yeah I agree you know the power social media has, like if we use it correctly, tum hum apne mulk kay kafi social issues effectively say solve kar skahte hain. 

Cut to Lawyer 

Lawyer: yeah totally, This will be remembered for years to come. 

Cut to Journalist 

Journalist: thankyou nabiha. I really enjoyed the small time we have.
