Behind Red Curtains

A short-height Cop on a mission, copy that!

Welcome to 10 min recap. Today we will dive deep to show you the action-comedy from the year 2015; Hot Pursuit.

Get ready for the story to be told as it follows a cop who is assigned to protect the widow of a drug boss from crooked police officers and criminals who want her dead as they race through Texas to avoid detection.

The movie begins when Rose cooper gets tagged along with her father, a noble police officer in Texas since she was a baby.

As she gets older, her father lets her ride along for some of his caught criminals.

That encouraged Cooper to chase a career in law enforcement.

She was so indulged in such a kind of life that she made her personal life intense.

Like, while out on a date, she scares the guy by putting the gun on him, and she chases him down to give him back his wallet.

CNN announced the case against notorious cartel leader Vicenta Cortez.

Vicenta testifies against the violent crime of murder and drugs.

Therefore, law enforcement called him untouchable.

At the station, captain Emmet called Cooper in his office.

There she meets Detective Jackson.

Emmet told Cooper that he would escort Jackson to protect a cartel informant named Felipe Riva and his wife Daniella because Felipe and Daniella decided to testify against Cortez.

Emmet gives this job to Cooper.

At first, she was a bit hesitant, but due to Emmet, she agreed.

When Emmet said Cooper, Jackson makes fun of her as he knew about his shotgun incident where a few months earlier she saw the mayor's son yell Shotgun while out with his friends, leading Cooper to tase him in a spot where he spilled alcohol and causing him to catch fire.

This job becomes the opportunity to redeem herself.

Cooper and Jackson arrive at the Riva home, where Daniella pisses off her husband for making them targets.

Cooper finds her packing a bunch of materials with her.

Downstairs, two masked men and two other armed men shot at Jackson and Felipe and killed them.

Cooper runs to the garage and finds Daniella hiding in the car’s backseat.

Cooper turns the car on and drives away from the scene.

When Cooper tells Daniella about her husband's death, she wails hysterically.

Cooper tries to call for help, but Daniella drops the phone on the road.

That makes Daniella angry, and she grabs her bag to go home, but Cooper handcuffs herself to Daniella to make sure she is close to her.

She phones someone at the station to identify the shooters. She notes that one had a longhorn tattoo.

Cooper's fellow officers Dixon and Hauser came, but this makes Cooper fishy.

Unfortunately, they are recognized as shooters since Hauser has the longhorn tattoo.

Cooper plans an escape and pretends that Daniella is having her period so they can go to the bathroom.

Cooper distracts all and sneaks out the washroom window with Daniella.

In the middle of the way, Cooper’s car got stuck.

They were planning what to do, and Cooper listened to it on Daniella's hidden phone that Cooper had committed a crime and was running with the fugitive.

Meanwhile, a huge truck just hit their car, and it got destroyed.

They get in the truck, and the driver drops them off at the store, where both change their clothes.

There, Copper noticed that those goons were chasing them.

Therefore, Cooper and Daniella hid in the truck trunk.

When they reached the town’s house, its owner, Red, came out with a gun.

Daniella tries to escape but comes back for Cooper and defends her by pretending to be her lover.

In that, Red accidentally shot his finger.

Seeing Red in this state, Cooper and Daniella grab another truck and drive away.

On the road, the ladies bond a little more.

Cooper admits that her by-the-books nature has made it difficult for her to find a man.

Suddenly, they find a man, Randy, sleeping in the back of the truck.

Randy is a felon with an ankle bracelet put on after he beat the crap out of his sisters' abusive boyfriends.

The trio reached an agreement to help each other.

They all planned to stay in the hotel.

There, Daniella found Cooper's little notebook.

In that, Cooper wrote that Daniella is not smart enough to testify.

Cooper then learns that the shoes in Daniella's luggage are worth $4 million and that this is how Felipe laundered the money.

At that moment, Dixon and Hauser showed up.

But somehow, Randy helped Daniella and Cooper.

Both escape on a tour bus with crooked cops and two thugs chasing them.

One of the thugs shoots out the tires of the villains' car, and the ladies manage to bump them off the road. The bus stops, and Daniella punches Cooper's lights out.

Cooper sees Daniella walking away with the thugs.

She learns that Daniella is working with them as part of her plan to murder Cortez as payback for him killing Daniella's brother.

Cooper planned to catch Cortez as she knew that he was attending his granddaughter's Quinceanera.

Daniella also arranged for the thugs to kidnap her but did not plan for her husband to die.

She cuffs Cooper to a pole and leaves.

At the station, Emmet tells Cooper that she fails in her mission.

Emmet tells Cooper to go home, but she knows her mission is not over.

Cooper travels to Dallas and sneaks into the Quinceanera as a man to get close to Daniella.

She dressed as the server of the place.

There, Cooper runs into Emmett.

She learns that he is a bad guy.

He tries to make her walk through the kitchen with his gun, but Cooper turns the tables by pouring alcohol on him and tasing him, so he catches fire.

She puts out the flames and knocks him out with a fire extinguisher.

Daniella gets Cortez alone in a room and reveals her intentions to kill him.

Cortez comes with his gun, but Cooper lets nothing happen and convinces Daniella not to kill him.

Cooper sees Cortez drawing his gun, and she shoots him dead.

Daniella pisses at Cooper for denying her the satisfaction of killing Cortez herself until she sees that Cooper took a bullet for her in the arm.

Three months later, Cooper goes to pick Daniella up from prison after she serves her time for obstruction of justice.

Cooper is no longer a laughing stock.

Her colleagues praised her for taking down Cortez.

Outside, she presents Daniella with her shoes.

They leave together, and Daniella sees that Cooper brought Randy along with her as now they were in a relationship.
